Clean Fuels Alliance America is getting ready to kick off the 2023 Clean Fuels Conference in Tampa.

This is the 20th annual industry conference, but the first-ever Clean Fuels Conference since the organization rebranded from the National Biodiesel Board.

Clean Fuels CEO Donnell Rehagen says, “we’re excited to gather the industry again. It’s remarkable to see the changes in this industry over those 20 years—the growth, the investment that’s been made in our industry to grow the way it has, and the support that we’ve seen across many sectors. It’s always an exciting time for us at the staff level at Clean Fuels to gather the industry and kick the year off with some excitement and be energized again by all the people who are playing a very important part in the growth of this industry.”

He says the conference theme is “United As One,” reflecting the industry’s growth and commitment to a sustainable transportation future.

“The unity that our industry has experienced over these 20 years we believe has been very important to the trajectory it’s on and the growth it’s been able to see. When you think about the changes over the last decade in our industry, there’s a lot of them. When you think about the number of fuels we used to have, there was one fuel— biodiesel. Now we’re representing biodiesel, renewable diesel, and sustainable aviation fuel. Not just that, but we’re also looking at the number of industries that are impacted by our industry, whether it’s farmers in the field, fuel distributors, producers of the fuels, and the industries that depend on us. So, when you look at this decarbonization effort there’s also the rail industry, the marine industry, and now the airline industry. All of us are uniting in this goal to not only grow our industry but to be a big key player in decarbonizing the economy of this country.”
