Checkoff to focus on producer communications

Joan Ruskamp, the outgoing chair of the Cattlemen’s Beef Board sat down with Brownfield during the 2019 Cattle Industry Convention to discuss her year as chair, the future of the Checkoff – including the changes and improvements that will be implemented in the upcoming year.

Ruskamp tells Brownfield the CBB has battled some misconceptions and challenges within the beef industry and the Checkoff continues to work hard to share the message of what it’s doing for producers.  

She talks about the Checkoff’s new communications platform, “The Drive”, which is designed to keep producers informed and aware about recent successes, upcoming initiatives and future plans.
