Braun is hopeful House Republicans will come around to GCSA

U.S. Senator Mike Braun says he thinks colleagues in the House will come around to the Growing Climate Solutions Act.

The legislation passed the Senate, but House Ag Committee Ranking Member Glenn GT Thompson has said that the bill is a “big-government solution in search of a problem.”

But, the Indiana Republican says…“I would have never been for it if that’s what it was. This is spending about as little as you can to set up the process and it’s being offset with unspent COVID funds.”

Braun, co-sponsor of the legislation, says he’s hopeful the legislation will pass the U.S. House and be signed by the president.

This spring, Republicans with the House Ag and Natural Resources committees introduced what they’re calling innovative and science-based alternatives to the Growing Climate Solutions Act.
