Bayer and BASF respond to EPA’s announcement

Bayer and BASF have issued statements in response to EPA’s announcement on dicamba herbicides.

Bayer says it welcomes EPA’s “swift action” to allow the use of those products this season, adding that it “stands fully” behind its Xtendimax product and “will continue working with the EPA, growers, academics and others to provide long-term access to this important tool.”

BASF says while it supports EPA’s action to allow the use of existing stocks, it is seeking “additional clarity and flexibility” on EPA’s order. BASF says it will continue to pursue re-registration of its Engenia products with the EPA.
