Ag groups urge immediate funding of CCC

More than 40 ag groups led by the American Farm Bureau are urging Congress to replenish the Commodity Credit Corporation immediately, through a continuing resolution.
Without that, they say funding for farm bill programs could run out while farmers continue struggling with low prices, natural disasters and the pandemic.
Their letter to House and Senate leaders says programs that farmers count on like ARC, PLC, Dairy Margin Coverage, loans and conservation would be delayed and payments stalled.
