Ag Day highlights importance of ag in Indiana

It’s National Agriculture Day. 

Indiana’s Director of Agriculture Gina Sheets says today is a great way to highlight the importance of agriculture. 

Sheets tells Brownfield for some consumers the only connection they have to agriculture is the food they pick up at the grocery store.  “This is our opportunity to talk about the great markets we have in the state of Indiana and food production,” she says.  “And also to showcase the great people who make agriculture possible in the state of Indiana.”

There are activities all this week around the state to celebrate National Agriculture Week.
