Administration continues push for USMCA ratification

The Trump Administration is trying to coax congressional support for the proposed U.S.-Mexico-Canada agreement. U.S. Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue stumped for it in North Dakota Saturday and was scheduled to be in Iowa Monday visiting agriculture equipment maker Vermeer in Pella and crop protection company Corteva AgriScience in Johnston, according to a report from Agri-Pulse.

In Wisconsin Saturday, President Trump said the USMCA will be good for dairy farmers because of Canada’s promise to eliminate Class 7 pricing that puts a lot of milk powder on the international market.
