ACE continues push for year-round E15

The American Coalition for Ethanol continues to push for year-round E15.

CEO Brian Jennings says the Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act is one pathway.

“There’s legislation pending in Congress that would permanently allow E15, we’re pushing hard on that. And also, we expect EPA to come out soon to finalize the rule allowing E15 year-round in those eight Midwest states.”

Those states are Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

“So that’s something we’ll be looking for hopefully yet this summer, to at least put those eight states on a trajectory where they have a certainty about the E15 marketplace going forward.”

The Biden administration issued an emergency waiver allowing E15 sales for this summer.
