A down week for export sales

A disappointing week for export sales for the major commodities.

The latest report from the USDA shows significant declines in sales for both corn, down 43 percent, and soybeans, down 39 percent from the previous week.  Soybean meal sales were also down 20 percent from the previous week.  Cotton sales also declined.

Rice and Sorghum sales increased this week, with Mexico the largest purchaser of rice and China the largest purchaser of Sorghum.

Red meat sales declined with beef sales down 44 percent from the previous week to a marketing-year low.  Pork sales were down 6 percent, however, China was the largest purchaser.
