58% of Ohio corn, 57% of soybeans good to excellent

The USDA says scattered showers replenished soil moisture levels last week in Ohio.

Fifty-eight percent of the state’s corn crop is in good to excellent condition. Ninety-two percent of corn is in the dough stage, 48 percent dented, and five percent is mature.

Fifty-seven percent of soybeans are in good to excellent condition. Ninety-four percent of the crop is setting pods and five percent is dropping leaves.
