Syngenta says settlement payment timing not up to them

Syngenta says it is hearing about a lack of payments going out from the Syngenta Agrisure Viptera China litigation and settlement but does not control that process.

Paul Minehart, the company’s communications lead, tells Brownfield there are some objections to the settlement that was reached last December with corn farmers, grain handling facilities and ethanol plants and those appeals are still pending.

Syngenta says it does not control the claims distribution process which can only happen AFTER all appeals are resolved. That process is overseen by a court-appointed claims administrator.
