Milk futures mixed, cash dairy trade lower

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange came down from earlier week highs Friday as cash markets brought some pressure to prices.

October Class III milk up two cents at $17.94. November eight cents lower at $19.28. December down nine cents at $18.76. January two cents higher at $18.16. February through April contracts one to six cents higher.

Dry whey down $0.0025 at $0.6025. Two sales were made at $0.60 and $0.6025.

Blocks down $0.0275 at $1.78. Three trades were made from $1.77 to $1.7850.

Barrels unchanged at $1.79.

Butter down $0.0450 at $1.7750. Nine trades were made from $1.1.7750 to $1.80.

Nonfat dry milk down $0.0050 at $1.5325. Two trades were made at $1.5325 and $1.5375.
