Milk futures, cash dairy trade mixed

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange were mixed Wednesday in a narrow range as most traders packed it up for the holiday-shortened week.

November Class III milk a penny higher at $17.95. December a penny lower at $18.32. January down 11 cents at $18.64. February a penny higher at $18.95. March through May one to five cents lower.

Dry whey unchanged at $0.70.

Blocks unchanged at $1.8575.

Barrels unchanged at $1.5250.

Butter unchanged at $1.99. Two trades were made at $1.99 and $2.01.

Nonfat dry milk down $0.0050 at $1.5625. Four trades were made from $1.5575 to $1.5675.
