Milk futures, cash dairy trade higher

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange found strength Tuesday from improving cash trade and declining grain prices.

August Class III milk up a penny at $15.98. September up nine cents at $16.75. October 24 cents higher at $16.90. November up 18 cents at $17.24. December through February contracts 12 to 20 cents higher.

Dry whey unchanged at $0.4975.

Blocks unchanged at $1.71.

Barrels up $0.0150 at $1.38.

Butter up $0.05 at $1.7650. Fourteen trades were made from $1.73 to $1.7650.

Nonfat dry milk up $0.0175 at $1.32. Two trades were made at that price.
