Milk futures, cash dairy mostly lower

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange took a dive Wednesday pressured by increasing grain prices and lower cash trade.

April Class III milk was unchanged at $24.31. May 39 cents lower at $24.31. June down 37 cents at $24.27. July 33 cents lower at $24.13. August through to October 18 to 36 cents lower.

Dry whey unchanged at $0.5750. One sale was made at $0.5525.

Blocks down $0.0250 at $2.34.

Barrels down $0.04 at $2.34.

Butter down $0.0350 at $2.6150. One sale was made at $2.6125.

Nonfat dry milk up $0.02 at $1.7275. Two trades were made at $1.7175 and $1.7275.
