Milk futures, cash dairy mostly lower

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange continued to fall lower Wednesday while grain markets continued to hold strength.

April Class III milk was up a penny at $24.27. May 21 cents lower at $24.17. June down 14 cents at $24.44. July 13 cents lower at $24.17. August through to October eight to 32 cents lower.

Dry whey unchanged at $0.6350.

Blocks down $0.0250 at $2.3350. One sale was made at that price.

Barrels down $0.0525 at $2.3425.

Butter up $0.0025 at $2.72. Four trades were made from $2.6875 to $2.7150.

Nonfat dry milk down $0.0050 at $1.7925. Six trades were made from $1.79 to $1.8050.
