Milk futures, cash dairy mostly higher

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange ended the week to the higher side as trade optimism remains in the market.

January Class III milk up two cents at $17.01.  February up 13 cents at $17.43.  March four cents higher at $17.62.  April up a penny at $17.51.  May through August contracts a penny lower to six cents higher.

Dry whey up $0.0050 at $0.3675.  Seven sales were made at $0.3650. 

Blocks up $0.0225 at $1.9625.  Two trades were made at $1.95 and $1.9625. 

Barrels up $0.0325 at $1.5625.  Eight trades were made at $1.56 and $1.5625. 

Butter down $0.0175 at $1.88.  Two trades were made at $1.88 and $1.8875. 

Nonfat dry milk up $0.0050 at $1.29.  Two trades were made at $1.2875 and $1.29.
