Milk futures, cash dairy mixed

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange closed Monday mixed ahead of a mostly neutral milk production report.

October Class III milk up nine cents at $21.54. November a penny higher at $21.43. December down four cents at $21.46. January up three cents at $21.12. February through April contracts unchanged to a nickel higher.

Dry whey down $0.0050 at $0.4550. One sale was made at that price.

Blocks down $0.0075 at $2.0525. One sale was made at $2.0625.

Barrels up $0.0125 at $2.1025. One trade was made at that price.

Butter up $0.02 at $3.1525. Nine trades were made from $3.16 to $3.1675.

Nonfat dry milk down $0.01 at $1.56.
