Milk futures, cash dairy higher

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange turned higher Thursday as traders took back oversold positions and cash markets trended higher.

April Class III milk was up eight cents at $24.39. May 29 cents higher at $24.60. June up 35 cents at $24.62. July 28 cents higher at $24.41. August through to October 16 to 35 cents higher.

Dry whey unchanged at $0.5750.

Blocks up $0.04 at $2.38. One sale was made at that price.

Barrels unchanged at $2.34. Five trades were made from $2.3325 to $2.3425.

Butter up $0.02 at $2.6350. Two trades were made at $2.6150 and $2.63.

Nonfat dry milk up $0.0125 at $1.74. Two trades were made at $1.7375 and $1.74.
