CME milk futures up, cash dairy mixed Friday

Milk futures were up and cash dairy prices were mixed Friday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

January Class III milk was up $0.20 at $19.31.  February was up $0.28 at $18.59.  March was up $0.13 at $18.44.  April was up $0.14 at $18.65.  The May through December contracts were all unchanged except May and June, which went up $0.20 and $0.04 cents, respectively.

After stalling most of the week, dry whey was down $0.0250 at $0.39.  Two sales were recorded at $0.39 and $0.40.

Cheese blocks were up $0.0750 at $2.06.  Two sales were recorded at $2.0550 and $2.06.

Cheese barrels were up $0.0050 at $1.7250.  Three sales were recorded from $1.7225 to $1.7250.

Butter was up $0.0025 at $2.3825.  No sales were recorded.

Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.2975.  No sales were recorded.
