CME milk futures lower, cash dairy mixed Wednesday

Milk futures were lower, and cash dairy prices were mixed Wednesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June Class III milk was down $0.18 at $16.37.  July was down $0.12 at $16.82.  August was down $0.09 at $17.63.  September was down $0.05 at $18.48.  October through April contracts ranged from one cent lower in November to six cents higher in December.

Dry whey was up $0.0175 at $0.26.  There were nine sales recorded from $0.2725 to $0.2875.

Cheese blocks were down $0.0750 at $1.5775.  Two sales were recorded at $1.5775 and $1.63.

Cheese barrels remained unchanged at $1.5150.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Butter was unchanged at $2.4375.  No sales were recorded.

Nonfat dry milk was up $0.0050 at $1.1575.  Four sales were recorded from $1.15 to $1.1575.
