CME milk futures higher, cash dairy mixed Thursday

Milk futures were higher and the cash dairy markets were mixed Thursday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.   

November Class III milk was up $0.15 at $17.39.  December was up $0.22 at $17.35.  January was up $0.13 at $17.47.  February was up $0.08 at $17.84   March through September contracts ranged from unchanged in July to eight cents higher in March.   

Dry whey was up $0.0075 at $0.3725.  Seven sales were recorded, ranging from $0.37 to $0.3725. 

Forty-pound cheese blocks were up $0.0150 at $1.70.  Two sales were recorded at that price. 

Cheese barrels were unchanged at $1.6725.  No sales were recorded. 

Butter was down $0.0225 at $3.12. No sales were recorded. 

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0025 at $1.1850.  One sale was recorded at that price.
