CME milk futures higher, cash dairy mixed Thursday

Milk futures were all higher, and the cash dairy markets were mixed Thursday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.   

October Class III milk was up $0.09 at $16.93.  November was up $0.07 at $17.30.  December was up $0.11 at $17.60.  January was up $0.13 at $18.12.  February through September contracts ranged from three cents higher in September to twenty-four cents higher in April. 

Dry whey was up $0.0150 at $0.33.  Twenty sales were recorded, ranging from $0.32 to $0.34. 

Forty-pound cheese blocks were down $0.0025 at $1.70. Two sales were recorded at $1.70 and $1.7025. 

Cheese barrels were up $0.0275 at $1.6450.  One sale was recorded at $1.64. 

Butter was down $0.0850 at $3.3950.  Three sales were recorded, ranging from $3.38 to $3.40. 

Nonfat dry milk was up $0.0050 at $1.22.  Four sales were recorded, ranging from $1.21 to $1.22.
