CME milk futures, cash dairy up Tuesday

Milk futures were higher and cash dairy prices steady to higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Tuesday.

March Class III milk was up $0.19 at $17.84.  April was up $0.24 at $18.07.  May was up $0.17 at $18.45.  June was up $0.11 at $18.89.  July through January contracts ranged from eight cents lower in January to twelve cents higher in November.

Dry whey was unchanged at $0.45.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese blocks were up $0.08 at $1.96.  Four sales were recorded from $1.90 to $1.96.

Cheese barrels were up $0.0350 at $1.5825.  Nine sales were recorded from $1.5525 to $1.5825.

Butter was up $0.0050 at $2.38.  One sale was recorded at #2.36.

Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.22.  One sale was recorded at $1.2225.
