CME milk futures & cash dairy prices fall Tuesday

Milk futures were down in the short term and cash dairy prices were mostly down Tuesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

November Class III milk was down $0.32 at $20.85.  December was down $0.17 at $19.35.  January was down $0.11 at $19.29.  February was down $0.12 at $19.48.  March through September contracts ranged from two cents lower in April to ten cents higher in June. 

Dry whey remained unchanged at $0.44.  There were three bids but no sales were recorded.

Cheese blocks were down $0.02 to $2.04.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese Barrels were down $0.0550 at $2.0050. One sale was recorded at that price.

Butter was down $0.0375 at $3.1525.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.42.   There were three bids but no sales were recorded.
