CME milk futures, cash dairy prices down Thursday

Milk futures were down and cash dairy prices were steady to lower Thursday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June Class III milk was down $0.40 at $15.92.  July was down $0.43 at $16.65.  August was down $0.32 at $17.55.  September was down $0.21 at $18.24.  October through April contracts ranged from unchanged in April to fifteen cents lower in January.

Dry whey was down $0.0175 at $0.27.  Fourteen sales were recorded from $0.27 to $0.2825.

Cheese blocks were down $0.04 at $1.50.  Eight sales were recorded from $1.50 to $1.5450.

Cheese barrels were down $0.0125 at $1.4425.  Eleven sales were recorded from $1.4375 to $1.4625.

Butter was unchanged at $2.46.  Two sales were recorded at that price.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0125 at $1.1525.  Three sales were recorded from $1.1525 to $1.1625.
