CME milk futures, cash dairy lower Monday

Milk futures were lower and cash dairy prices were steady to lower Monday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

May Class III milk was down $0.43 at $16.89.  June was down $0.42 at $17.59.  July was down $0.33 at $18.22.  August was down $0.23 at $18.87.  September through March contracts ranged from unchanged in January and February to twenty-two cents lower in October.

Dry whey was down $0.03 at $0.3325.  Fifteen sales were recorded from $0.3325 to $0.35.

Cheese blocks were down $0.07 at $1.68.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese barrels were down $0.0225 at $1.53.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Butter was unchanged at $2.40.  No sales were recorded.

Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.1650.  No sales were recorded.
