CME milk futures and cash dairy down Monday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were mostly down Monday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December Class III milk was unchanged at $20.50.  January was down $0.20 at $19.04.  February was down $0.16 at $19.12.  March was down $0.13 at $19.37.  April through October contracts ranged from a penny lower in October and November to twenty-three cents lower in August.

Dry whey was up $0.01 at $0.4450.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Cheese blocks were down $0.0350 at $2.06.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Cheese barrels were down $0.08 at $1.87.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Butter appears to be in another price rollercoaster, this time falling $0.1125 and closing at $2.70.  Four sales were recorded from $2.70 to $2.81.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0075 at $1.3575.   Four sales were recorded from $1.3525 to $1.3575.
