CME milk & cash dairy mostly down Monday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were steady to down on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Monday with a couple of exceptions.

August Class III milk was down $0.07 at $19.95.  September closed up $0.10 at $19.40.  October was down $0.01 at $20.05.  November was down $0.19 to $20.21.  December through July contracts ranged from unchanged in July to twelve cents lower in December. 

Dry whey was unchanged at $0.4350.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese blocks were unchanged at $1.7850.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese Barrels were up $0.0025 at $1.7950.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Butter went down $0.0350 closing at $2.9750.  Three sales were recorded from $1.4825 to $1.4925.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.02 at $1.4825. Three sales were recorded from $1.4825 to $1.4925.
