The NK Seeds brand is experiencing rapid growth, and Jim Shertzer, head of marketing for NK Seeds, says it’s because of innovation. “We’re getting more products to the market faster,” Shertzer told Brownfield Ag News, “we’re offering the right traits in those products that farmers are demanding.” The NK Seeds brand is underpinned by investment, including research and development, according to Shertzer. R&D has upped its game, resulting in, among other things, the opening of a new trait integration facility in Napa, Idaho, making it possible to put the right corn traits in the company’s new genetics.
