Propane-powered weed control in the vineyard

St. James Winery production manager Andrew Meggitt is designing propane-powered equipment that will keep weeds down at the Missouri vineyard. “You’re essentially burning weeds off,” Meggitt tells Brownfield Ag News. For 18 years, Meggitt has been vice-president of production at St. James Winery, St. James, Missouri. Before that, in his native New Zealand, he built a propane-generated prototype of what he calls a Weed Badger that he refers to as modern green technology.
