Farm applications are many

Propane supplier Luke Fitzpatrick is hard-pressed to list all the ways the fuel is used in agriculture.

“Irrigation, grain drying, of course, building heat, generators to keep buildings warm whenever we have bad weather,” said Fitzpatrick, past chairman of the Missouri Propane Education and Research Council, recalling more of the ways propane is used on the farm, “water heaters, also weed control, forklifts, vehicles and lawnmowers.”

Fitzpatrick, who is with MFA Oil, says the advantages of using propane begin with saving money.
