EPA Proposes Extreme Emissions Rule

In this week’s Missouri Corn Talk, Missouri Corn CEO Bradley Schad says the Environmental Protection Agency’s proposed rule on tailpipe emissions will impact agriculture.

  • The ethanol trade groups are partly responsible for EPA ignoring ethanol’s benefits. For over 10 years, EPA has been modeling ethanol being worse for air quality compared to gasoline but the trade groups have looked the other way. Until the ethanol industry decides to stand up to EPA and expose how the oil industry has manipulated the vehicle studies, why would we expect EPA to favor ethanol.
