Combine Class, does it matter?


Combines are divided into classes defined by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers. CLAAS central region product manager Jeff Gray says class size is used to gauge the performance of combines. But he tells Brownfield it can be deceiving because each class only takes into account one attribute: horsepower. Gray says there’s much more to gauging the true level of combine performance potential.
