The cattle herd expansion is slowing

A cattle market analyst says the expansion phase of the cattle cycle may be coming to an end.

CattleFax senior analyst Kevin Good expects the nation’s cow herd to expand by another 200 to 300 thousand head in 2018. But he says the rate of expansion is slowing.

Good spoke with Brownfield at the recent Cattle Industry Convention in Phoenix.
