Beef Check-off invests in pre-harvest beef safety research

Consumer confidence in beef as a safe and wholesome food is important for it to remain competitive in the marketplace. In this episode of Driving Demand, a content partnership with Missouri Beef Industry Council, we learn why check-off dollars are invested in pre-harvest beef safety threats from antimicrobial resistance and salmonella.

Dr. Mandy Carr- Johnson, Senior Director of Scientific Affairs for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, on behalf of the work they do for the Beef Checkoff, is our guest. She tells Brownfield that check-off funds are invested in identifying strategies and technology to continuously improve the safety of beef and beef products, meeting consumer expectations and growing demand.
