So what’s metabolism got to do with it?
A registered dietician with the International Food Information Council says metabolism is the process in our bodies of converting what we eat and drink into energy. But there are a lot of myths out there about metabolism.
Myth #1 – eating breakfast jumpstarts your metabolism. While there are benefits to eating breakfast for the nutrients and energy – it’s not going to jumpstart metabolism. Studies find there’s find no difference in burning calories over 24 hours between people who ate breakfast and those who skipped breakfast.
