Farmer honors mother through community foundation

Through generous donations, farmers like Donald Schnitker of Jackson County are leaving a legacy and making a difference in their communities. Donald was inspired to give back to his community foundation by his mom, who was an active volunteer and had a love for reading.  One of the ways Donald gives is through the Gift of Grain program, but he tells Brownfield that farmers can give back and support their local community foundation in various ways.

Every county in Indiana has a community foundation that helps make life better for you and future generations. Find out how to use gifts of land, equipment, and grain to leave a legacy through your local community foundation at inphilanthropy.org/legacy.
