AFBF pleased with CFAP extension

The American Farm Bureau Federation says the extension to the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program is a needed lifeline for farmers.

The USDA extended the CFAP application period to September 11th and added new commodities eligible for aid, including aquaculture and all sheep instead of sheep less than two-years-old.

AFBF President Zippy Duvall says the federation is working to notify newly qualified farmers that aid is available and is encouraging USDA to do the same.

A full list of newly qualified commodities can be found on the USDA’s website.
