HHD cancelled for Wednesday

Rain fell off and on throughout the day Tuesday at Husker Harvest Days west of Grand Island, creating very muddy conditions in the parking lots.  Soon after the showgrounds closed Tuesday night heavy rains once again pelted the site requiring the events team to cancel the event for Wednesday.

Show officials issued the following statement:

Untimely rains hammered the Husker Harvest Days site after the end of Day 1 giving the show staff no choice but to cancel for Wednesday. Gates will not open on Wednesday Sept. 10, 2014. However, the weather forecast, which calls for little to no rain after Tuesday, means that gates will open again on Thursday, September 11, 2014.
