Iowa’s ‘Beef Stick Lady’ still going strong

For the past seven years, De Ann Paulsrud of Danbury, Iowa has been sending free Iowa-made beef sticks to U.S. soldiers serving overseas. 

Since she started the “Beef’n Up the Troops” project in 2006, Paulsrud has shipped more than 178,000 beef sticks to, as she puts it, “boost troop morale, thank them for their service and give them a taste of home”.

Dee Ann gives us an update on the project.

Paulsrud donates her time to the project and she says as long as the donations keep coming, she will continue sending free beef sticks to the troops.
