Cattle should be checked for pinkeye

It’s recommended that cattlemen be on the lookout for pinkeye in their herds. Brownfield intern Lacey Koontz talked to South Dakota State University Extension Cow/Calf Field Specialist Ken Olson about how to recognize and prevent the disease as well as what treatment options are the best for pinkeye and the most critical aspects to remember when dealing with it. Olson says this highly infectious disease has very characteristic symptoms.
