Johanns’ thoughts on the farm bill
Nebraska U.S. Senator and former Secretary of Agriculture Mike Johanns was on the University of Nebraska campus last week for an event celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Morrill Act, the law that paved the way for the creation of land-grant universities.
At a news conference on Friday, Johanns shared his thoughts on Congress’ failure to pass a new farm bill. Here are some excerpts from Johann’s comments.
