Stage coach accident sends 5 to hospital

Ahead of this evening’s 8-horse hitch competition at the Indiana State Fair, 5 people were sent to the hospital after a stage-coach performing pre-event entertainment tipped on its side.  Six people, including the driver, were aboard the coach.  The five passengers, including the State Fair queen were taken to Methodist Hospital with minor injuries.  All are reported in stable condition.

The crowd on hand was asked to leave the Coliseum until the hitch competition began at 6:30 p.m.
