Taking an active role in Indiana’s corn and soybean industry

The Indiana Corn Marketing Council and the Indiana Soybean Alliance are checkoff organizations that promote the development of Indiana’s corn and soybean industries.  Both work to enhance their value and are driven by their board of directors.

Greg Noble, the Chief Operating Officer of ICMC and ISA sat down with Brownfield during the Indiana Agribusiness Tour to discuss what is going on with both the ICMC and ISA.  Next week is the 2012 Livestock, Forage and Grain Forum at the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis.  Noble says the form is an excellent opportunity for producers to take in information that is imperative to their operations.

As farmers have the opportunity to learn more about some of the drivers of the industry at the forum – they also have an opportunity to get involved and help promote both Indiana corn and soybeans.  He tells Brownfield both the ICMC and the ISA are looking for farmer leaders to take leadership roles in both the ICMC and the ISA board of directors.
