Iowa Limousin breeders celebrate 40 years

The Iowa Limousin Association is celebrating its 40th anniversary at this year’s Iowa State Fair. Limousins came to the North American continent in 1968 and were on exhibition in the U.S., but it was not until 1971 that Limousin bulls were permanently imported into the country.  That’s the year the Iowa Limousin Association was formed.  Dwayne Faidley of Colfax grew up with Limousin and has been active in the association.   He visited with us about what the breed has meant to the cattle industry.
