Forum highlights ethanol’s importance

Ethanol Forum 004Mark Henderson, Executive Director of the Indiana Corn Marketing Council (ICMC) says the message to those attending the “Fueling Freedom” – Ethanol Forum in Indianapolis on Wednesday, plain and simple, ethanol makes sense.

“Ethanol makes sense for the state, ethanol makes sense for the public, ethanol makes sense for the farmers of Indiana,” said Henderson.

And Henderson says a survey conducted by the Indiana Corn Marketing Council, shows people around Indiana are recognizing what renewable fuels mean to Indiana.

“The public understands if we’ve got the ability to produce things from renewable resources it just makes sense so we’re not importing the quantities of oil we are from people who aren’t that friendly to us,” Henderson said.

Nationally, Indiana ranks 6th in ethanol production.
