Expect gas prices to fluctuate

As the summer driving season begins the question becomes, what will we be paying for gas?

Dr. Wally Tyner, Purdue University agricultural economics professor says not to be shocked if gas prices top $3 per gallon, but then again, don’t be surprised if they drop below what you’re paying now, in other words, expect fluctuations.

Key drivers of summer gas prices, the value of the dollar, production levels by OPEC, political stability and U.S. crude oil gasoline inventories.

Earlier this year Tyner predicted gas prices to range from $2.60 to $3.20 per gallon this summer in Indiana, his prediction now – remains unchanged.
