Lies, “darned” lies and statistics

Commentary

New research shows that a large number of Americans would like to see the federal government adopt additional food safety measures.

The research was commissioned by Pew Charitable Trusts, the same trusts helped fund the Pew Commission on Industrial Farm Animal Production, which many in animal agriculture felt was a manifesto advising U.S. farming to return to 1950’s production practices, including severe restriction of the use of antibiotics in livestock production.
