Drought 2012: An analyst view of the livestock industry

As harvest begins in some areas of the country – the agriculture industry isn’t too far from knowing how much corn is actually out there.  While we know there is an immense amount of pressure on the grain industry – the livestock industry is also facing a lot of pressure.  So how is it holding up?  Purdue Extension ag economist Chris Hurt says the livestock sector is one that generally reacts fairly quick to short positions on feed.
